Emergent Herbs came about as an unavoidable gesture of what I needed to practice, express and contribute to society in order to feel whole and happy. This offering was indeed an emergent need for myself and I believe, an emergent need for our planet. I woke up one night with this word “emergent” circling in my head and it began from there.
Take charge of your own health
I was trained and completed programs in Clinical Herbalism and Nutrition with ACORN School of Herbal Medicine (Heather Luna) and The North American Institute of Herbal Medicine (Paul Bergner).
From the jungles of Suriname studying forest gardens, training for Permaculture aid work in Australia, becoming a parent, a teacher, an herbalist and a nutritionist, learning how to dance, transforming my own chronic gut health issues, and many other experiences, I have gained a rich and reliable background of inspiration to share with you all. I hope I get the pleasure of working together with you soon.
My Promise
I commit to living the principles of which I teach. I commit to nature-based practices of herbal cultivation and wildcraft collection that increase the abundance of life and health in the environment to the best of my understanding. I commit to taking care of myself and supporting my own vigorous state of physical, emotional and mental health so I can assist others on this same path. I am committed to my own growth and continued education. I am committed to developing deep and healthy relationships. I am committed to a humble lifestyle that allows for equal access to healthcare, vitality and resources for all people.
My Purpose
I empower my community with creative, inspirational education and care (love) so that people are motivated to understand and transform themselves and their surrounding landscapes–nature, community, relationships, mind, body–into healthy, beautiful, vital and abundant resources. Ultimately, I want to assist in healing from the belief that we are separate from nature/earth/spirit/god.
“Everything we need to survive and all that nourishes us comes from the Earth, its soil, the atmosphere, the sun and the stars beyond. We are simply walking pieces of earth.”
